Wasp nest Removal, Bee Removal and Relocation, Ant Control
Wasps and Bees pose a significant threat to public health and safety especially when they are in large numbers at schools and public places; they can both inflict a painful sting that often results in an anaphylactic shock which can be life threatening. In most wasp control jobs we can usually attend the same day.
Bee's are not protected by law, however, they are a beneficial insect and their numbers are on the decline. At Suddenstrike we will always try to remove Bees and relocate them where possible. Using an insecticide is only ever a last resort.
Although Ants will bite in order to protect their nest, the main problems caused are from the contamination of food stuffs, they can also be a nuisance especially in large numbers or during the mating swarms when flying ants appear.
Flea Control and Bed bug fumigations
Fleas and bedbugs can not only have painful and irritating bites, but as blood feeders, both flea's and bedbugs have the potential to spread infections and diseases to various hosts.
Bedbugs are by no means a sign of dirty living conditions, they can be transported into homes via various means including books and suitcases. The bed bugs themselves can live with out feeding for up to 6 months, during this period they dormant and become active again when they sense human activity. Bedbugs are nocturnal and so feed at night whilst the host is sleeping. A prolonged or large bedbug infestation can also cause problems such as anemia.
Suddenstrike offers a service to get rid of bedbugs and to get rid of fleas.
Woodworm (Common Furniture Beetle), Casual Invaders and Stored Product Insects
In properties where refurbishments are being carried out, woodworm (common furniture beetle) may be present in the woodworks such as joists and floor boards and even in the fabric of the building itself (timber frame properties). A prolonged infestation of woodworm can make a building structurally unstable. We offer a service to get rid of woodworm by treating the infested woodworks, saving the costs of having to replace the timbers themselves.
We also treat properties for mites, stored product insects such as beetles, and casual invaders such as moths in properties that have been left neglected and where a build-up of food and household refuse has accumulated.
Clothes Moths
Clothes moths are the biggest textile pest insect in the UK. The can cause thousands of pounds worth of damage if left untreated. Suddenstrike can treat for clothes moths and ensure that the property is free of moths before completing the treatment as a whole.
